1. Check before use
Scope of inspection: check the degree of wear, corrosion, stretching, bending, deformation, fatigue, broken wire, and rope core exposure of the galfan wire rope, and determine its safe lifting capacity (including scrapping).
2. Precautions for maintenance
(1) The service life of galfan wire rope has a great relationship with the method of use, so it should be used according to the regulations, dragging, throwing, overloading, and sharp changes in lifting speed are not allowed to avoid impact loads.
(2) When galfan wire rope has rust and dirt, brush it off with a wire brush and apply oil.
(3) galfan wire rope is oiled once every 4 months. When oiling, it is best to soak the rope core with hot oil (about 50°C), and then wipe off the wire rope.

(4) galfan wire rope should be placed in a clean and dry place after being coiled, and should not be stacked to prevent sprains
(5) The end of the wire rope should be fastened with steel wire or welded with an alloy with a low melting point. It can also be tightened with an iron hoop to prevent the rope end from loosening.
(6) During use, if there are oil droplets on the surface of galfan wire rope, it means that the wire rope has been subjected to considerable force. At this time, stop increasing the load, check it, and replace the wire rope with a new one if necessary.
(7) The bearing capacity of the traction wire rope should be 58 times the total traction force.
